The Hero

I've always loved the swashbuckling, adventurous film scores of Williams, Shore, Howard, and others, and decided to go about writing something similar my senior year second semester. The result? "The Hero," a piece originally in seven parts, but cut down to just five due to time constraints.
Each movement recounts another aspect of an archetypal "hero's journey," from the magical world in which he/she lives to the wise and mysterious mentor. It was an undertaking of epic proportions for me- a novice composer- and I hope you enjoy it.

Variations on a Theme by Jon

My good friend and wonderful pianist Jon Patsenker and I really got to know each other in RPI's music theory classes, and by the end of the second one, we had each written pieces featuring each other as instrumental players.

I found a single theme from his work (which is unfortunately not online) so catchy that I wrote an entirely new piano piece based on it. That's what friends are for, eh?

Intimidation OST

Prepared in 4 hours for a game development competition, I was surprised with how much I could get done. I won’t call it good, but I will call it fun! (For me, at least)

P.S. The game didn’t go anywhere, but I still have all the assets, so maybe someday I can realize this totally beautiful score
